360 VR Video Hiking Garibaldi

360 VR Video Hiking Garibaldi

Exploring Garibaldi in 360 video with an AMAZING fly over surprise at the 2 minute mark!

This hike 1.5  hours from Vancouver and about 15 minutes from Whistler is 5-6 hours round trip (depending on fitness level). The beginning of the hike passes along narrow switch backs and the second half is more open crossing lakes and a few creeks. In the winter the snow level can be as low as the parking lot and crampon s or snowshoes are highly recommended!

Garibaldi Park, named after its towering 2,678 metre peak, Mount Garibaldi, was designated as a provincial park in 1927. The park is located in the heart of the Coast Mountains just 70 kms north of Vancouver. Offering over 90 kms of established hiking trails, Garibaldi park is a favourite year round destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Making the 360 Video

To capture this unique 360 vr video we took the Moves Media 6 Gopro rig filled with Hero4 cameras. Each shot requires syncing all camera feeds, stitching the output files, editing, and exporting in 360 spherical format. We hope you enjoyed the video.
