Mobile App Developer Position – Vancouver/ Remote

Intermediate Mobile App Developer

Moves Media is a production company based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. For the last 8 years we have produced quality content to a wide range of clients. We are building content and an infrastructure for a platform that will disrupt the tourism industry as we know it.

Moves Media is looking for a skilled and motivated intermediate Mobile Developer to join our growing team and be at the ground level of a product that is 1 year into development. We are looking for someone with passion and interest in mobile development and the ability to work fast and communicate clearly within a small team.

Skills Required:

• Professional experience with Swift and underlying systems on which mobile applications are developed
• Proficient using React Native
• Strong understanding of building back end infrastructure using PHP and laravel.
• 2+ years of experience with the full mobile development process (coding, testing, submission, repeat)
• Extensive knowledge of mobile APIs, SDKs, and UI standards
• Ability to perform rapid iterations on existing components and workflows based on user feedback
• A commitment to leaving code/processes/people better than when you got there
• Solution driven with strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a small team
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

Nice to Have:

• Experience with location based technologies
• Experience with MapBox or Google API’s and Google distance matrix
• Experience with map and routing APIs
• Design and UI experience

Additional Details: This position is remote. Preference is given to those in closer proximity to Vancouver, BC, Canada. You will be reporting directly to the CEO and working on a small team as the primary developer. You will have access to a Senior developer for support.
